Full-time 730a-4p Mon- Fri, weekend rotation Part-time 8a-12p Mon- Fri
What is Your Role? The Home Services Assistant demonstrates a personal and professional commitment to work with clients (residents, members, and patients) to maintain physical, emotional, intellectual, vocational, spiritual, and social needs. This position provides care and services that support a client's needs, allowing them to function at the highest level possible, while creating and maintaining an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment for the clients. This position requires excellent communication skills with team members, clients and family members and a high level of patience and compassion for others. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Assist with activities of daily living. (Examples of these to include: dressing and grooming, ambulation, toileting, transfers with or without equipment, turning and positioning in bed or chair, assist with prescribed exercise routines, provide reminders to take medications, etc.) Assist with or prepare meals and snacks, adhering to dietary recommendations Assist with oxygen equipment Perform light housekeeping activities to maintain a safe and clean environment. (Examples of these to include: make and change beds, wash dishes, launder client's belongings, etc.) Shop and run errands for clients. Limited travel required. Other duties, as assigned by Home Services Coordinator.
