Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Aide
Location: Fredericktown, MO Full Time: Non-Exempt Base Pay : $14.42/hour The Psychosocial Rehabilitation, or PSR, program is open six (6) days a week, Monday - Saturday. As a PSR Aide, your typical work day is from 8:00am-4:30pm M-F, there is one evening shift a week (approx. 7:30pm), and staff rotate Saturday (8a-4:30p) coverages. Minimum Required Qualifications:
HS Diploma/GED/HSE Also must have the following : Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, ability to obtain a Class E license, and proof of continuous auto insurance. Must be able to pass CPR/FA training and ProACT training.
What is PSR? Psychosocial Rehabilitation programs in the counties of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry and Ste. Genevieve provide a variety of supportive and rehabilitative services to individuals living with chronic mental illnesses. PSR offers opportunities for educational, career, social and recreational activities on site and in the community. The program serves adult clients 18 years of age or older and operates five or more days each week, and with evening activities often planned. Vans owned by the Center transport members to the PSR and for the community based activities. Your Role as a PSR Aide: As the PSR Aide you would be responsible for providing support to consumers and PSR staff, and you are responsible for the routine transport of consumers to and from the PSR program. You would also assist PSR staff with activities which include clerical, kitchen duties, group work or other activities as assigned. Essential Functions
Provide protective oversight of clients; monitor the condition of the clients. Ensure the safety and welfare of the clients according to policies and procedures. Assist and guide clients in performance of tasks and responsibilities of PSR program, i.e. Cleaning, cooking, group activities. Assist in intervention during crisis situations when needed. Provide support to PSR Specialist and Manager as assigned. Transport to and from PSR all members deemed eligible for transportation services. Assist passengers in boarding and exiting the van if needed. Report any problems with the operation of the van. Have van serviced when needed, and keep accurate records on van maintenance. Maintain necessary records for the number of clients transported. Operate van according to DMH Licensure and CPRC Certification standards Provide non-routine transportation services as assigned and as available. Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.
Non Essential Functions
Maintain compliance with all policy and procedures. Complete all required training. Work cooperatively with other departments and members of the community. Participate in all required meetings as determined by supervisor. Maintain Chauffeur's License and driving record according to CCC policy and procedures. Maintain positive attitude toward agency and clientele. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency. Must have a valid Missouri Class E Driver's License and a good driving record. be able to do physical tasks; follow instructions; and work with minimum supervision.
