Part time On Campus Housing Custodial Assistant. Needs a positive attitude with a great work ethic. A desire to serve the students at Snow College in a fundamental part of the college experience, on campus housing. Character traits include proactive, team leader, one who takes initiative. Works well with others, teaching, guiding and training. Conscientious to detail desiring a job well done. This position requires medium work at a fast pace involving vacuuming, carpet cleaning, mopping, deep cleaning of bathrooms, kitchens and living spaces. Safety protection is provided and required. A high school diploma or GED is required Must be able to follow directions Must be able to pass background check Custodial experience preferred but not necessary Major Responsibilities/Duties
Performs routine manual labor associated with daily cleanup of the Suites at Academy Square and other On Campus Resident Buildings. Helps supervise student workers and summer cleaning crew Communicates on a daily basis with the Supervisor Performs general custodial and maintenance duties as needed, including but not limited to, cleaning restrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms, cleaning carpets, furniture, waxing floors, and snow removal. Perform other jobs as needed or assigned by supervisor Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions Desire to learn proper use of general cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment Ability to life 50 pounds easily Ability to work from heights and climb ladders Ability to establish and maintain working relation with supervisors, fellow workers and students Ability to work shifts and Saturdays in the Summer

Definition. A part-time adjunct faculty member is employed at less than 75% time annually and teaches at least one credit hour or more. A part-time staff member is employed at less that 75% time annually. The employment time is three continuous months at an average of 15 hours a week. Student hourly employees are exempt from the part-time privileges of this policy. Privileges. Upon authorization by the hiring department, part-time employees as defined under this policy will be issued a Snow College Part-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card at the time of hire. The card entitles the holder to all of the privileges associated with a Full-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card including, but not necessarily limited to, general admission or discounted prices for athletic and cultural events; Snow College library card issuance; computer network, Web, and e-mail access; bookstore sponsored discounts; and other discounts associated with the ID card at either campus. Supervisors have the right to terminate the privileges at any time during the fiscal year. Non-inherent Privileges. Privileges of full-time employees such as, but not necessarily limited to, college parties or gatherings, professional development activities, office/computer/telephone access, current expense budgets may be provided to part-time employees only at department discretion.
