A Lead Direct Support Professional is responsible for the coordination of services to the individuals served, including finance, medical, recreation, program services, family contact/involvement, education, and household management. A Lead provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. What You Get to Do:
Assist the program director with the coordination of services to the individuals served, including finance, medical, recreation, program services, family contact/involvement, education, and household management. Assists the program director in maintaining consistency in program implementation, individual care, and communication with staff and interdisciplinary team members, including the day or residential program. Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance. Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more. Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation. Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events. Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home. Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
