Who We Are Janitza LP is the North American arm of Janitza electronics GmbH, a leading German manufacturer of electrical power monitoring hardware and software. A family-owned business, we make hardware and software to measure and analyze power quality measures for our data center and industrial manufacturing customers. With our tools, companies can take action to reduce energy costs, improve uptime, and decrease their carbon footprint. Our North American branch, established in 2018, is experiencing rapid growth. We are seeking an Applications Engineer to help develop innovative solutions for our customers and assist our sales team in expanding our presence in the American market. Who You Are Reporting to the Solutions Engineering Manager, the Applications Engineer will join our team in Ashburn, VA. As the Applications Engineer at Janitza, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful integration, deployment, and maintenance of power metering solutions for clients. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, supporting testing and configuration of unique solutions, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle. What You'll Do
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical support during pre-sales and post-sales activities. Develop and deliver product demonstrations, training, and presentations to customers and sales teams. Prepare and review technical documentation, including system configurations, product specifications, and functional requirements. Assist in the design and implementation of system solutions that integrate our power management products with client operations. Provide feedback to product development teams on the practical aspects of the company's products in the field. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to our products and systems. Ensure compliance with company and industry standards in all projects. Maintain a high degree of awareness about emerging technologies and their potential applications within our product suite. Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, liaising with various internal departments.
What You'll Bring Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Proven experience in electrical or applications engineering, preferably in the power management industry. Strong understanding of electrical systems, data acquisition, and energy management solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working closely with crossfunctional teams and interacting professionally with clients. Proficiency in using engineering software tools and familiarity with programming languages commonly used in the industry. I.e. AutoCAD Electrical and or SolidWorks A keen problem solver with a customer-oriented approach. Ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
