QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST II
JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Analyst II leads the quality assurance testing team and assure that the delivered software meets the requirements of the business.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, create and communicate test plans. Work with the business and Information Technology to develop test cases. Execute test plans and test cases. Identify needed testing effort size and scope to determine quality assurance resource needs. Identify testing tools to support test automation, test management and test reporting. Design and implement quality metrics and testing processes. Identify areas of focus and prioritize testing based on prior areas of concern and current and future development. Review, evaluate and document existing quality assurance/testing processes and standards. Monitor testing progress and report progress to leadership. Lead and assign quality assurance resources to test events and project plan activities. Assist with configuration of test data and test environments. Participate in software development meetings to deliver software that meets requirements during the test cycles. Introduce and promote best-practice methodology in quality assurance within the team. Partner with software development team to ensure delivery of a high-quality product compatible with release timeline targets. Train, coach and develop quality assurance team members
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand the importance of customer service and convey and implement it throughout the quality assurance team. Work with 3rd party vendors to coordinate cross vendor testing Lead training of IS Quality Assurance Analysts on quality assurance best practices Update functional designs to include test plan execution criteria
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business analysis, or related field preferred. Will consider employees without a bachelor's degree with requisite experience. Three or more years working in software quality assurance in a formal software development environment.
Prior experience leading a quality assurance team preferred. Prior experience in the design and implementation of quality control testing processes and metrics.
Experience with Junit and other automated testing tools. Experience with CICD tools Experience with Test Case Management tools like Jira or Spiratest Experience with Performance, Vulnerability, Load, Fault Tolerance and Penetration Testing preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Highly technical. Proven track record of completing projects to specifications. Ability to work independently as well as within a team Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment. Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability. Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Proven ability to lead / build teams and motivate staff. Excellent analytical, problem solving, creative and troubleshooting skills.
