Job Summary The Radiology Technologist Float performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance to the Radiologist protocols. They follow established radiographic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. The Clinic Radiology Tech also performs basic laboratory functions including phlebotomy and some basic lab testing. The Float position will support multiple locations
What you will do
Performs general imaging that may include specialty imaging such as Orthopedics Position imaging equipment and adjust techniques as appropriate to patient body habitus Perform phlebotomy and basic lab testing as ordered by providers Record, process, and maintain patient data within the electronic medical record and PACs System. Completes all image processing procedures and QC testing. Follows Radiologist protocols to ensure images are of diagnostic quality. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations to ensure the safety of patients and staff Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns Work at multiple sites with variable shifts at the supervisor's direction to cover leaves of absence, PTO (Paid Time Off), or department demands.
Education Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited or approved program in Radiological Technology Required
Experience Qualifications
1-3 years Current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year current clinical experience Preferred less than 1 year Phlebotomy and basic lab testing. Preferred

Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to provide patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Fosters work and patient relationships through excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors. Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level. Possess skills to effectively problem solve. Proficient in the use of EMR systems, computer, phone and office equipment. Possess effective written and verbal communication.
Licenses and Certifications
The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification Upon Hire Required
Radiographer License issued by the state of WI Upon Hire Required
CPR/BLS Certification-Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program. Upon Hire Required
