Core Responsibilities
Strategic Client Engagement: Cultivate existing relationships with senior-level decision-makers at Hansell Tierney's distinguished clients. Gain an in-depth understanding of each client's business objectives and hiring needs, positioning Hansell Tierney as their trusted talent partner.
Lead Full Business Development Cycle: Manage all stages of business development, including prospecting, engagement, presentations, proposal development, and contract negotiations. Ensure the highest standards in client interaction, relationship management, and service delivery.
Drive Market Expansion: Proactively identify market opportunities and trends to expand Hansell Tierney's reach and build a robust pipeline of new clients, targeting growth within high-potential sectors.
Collaborate for Optimal Results: Work closely with recruitment and operations teams to deliver seamless client and candidate experiences. Actively contribute to team strategy discussions to ensure alignment on priorities and client needs.
Consultative Selling: Effectively communicate the strategic benefits and value of Hansell Tierney's recruiting and staffing solutions, adapting presentations to address unique client challenges and opportunities.
Relationship Management & Client Retention: Act as a primary contact for clients, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction and issue resolution. Build loyalty and long-term partnerships through consistent engagement and quality delivery.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage Hansell Tierney's CRM and proprietary tools to maintain accurate records, track KPIs, and generate actionable insights to improve client outcomes and forecast market trends.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
Experience: 4+ years in business development within staffing/recruiting or professional services, with a successful track record in high-impact sales roles.
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with market dynamics and drive sustainable revenue growth.
Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the local business landscape and client decision-making processes. Ability to position Hansell Tierney as a strategic partner through a consultative approach.
Communication & Influence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level executives and decision-makers.
Motivated Self-Starter: Demonstrated drive for results, with a proactive and adaptable approach to achieving and exceeding goals.
Team-Oriented: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams to enhance service offerings and client satisfaction.
Location and Compensation
Location: Mercer Island, WA - Hybrid work environment with an in-office expectation early in the role to adjust to our culture and way of working.
Compensation: Base salary plus uncapped commissions. On-target earnings for this role are projected at $100,000 - $200,000+ per year, depending on experience.
