Job Description Job Description Our incredible client is looking for an Applications Engineer to join their team! Reporting to the Solutions Engineering Manager, the Applications Engineer will join the team in Ashburn, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of our power metering solutions for clients, including gathering and analyzing client requirements, designing, testing, and configuring customized solutions, and providing expert technical support throughout the entire project lifecycle. Compensation: $120,000 - $145,000 + Location: Ashburn, VA (hybrid flexible) Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PM Applications Engineer Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical support during pre-sales and post-sales activities. Develop and deliver product demonstrations, training, and presentations to customers and sales teams. Prepare and review technical documentation, including system architectures, configurations, product specifications, and functional requirements. Assist in the design and implementation of system solutions that integrate our power management products with client operations. Provide feedback to product development teams on the practical aspects of the company’s products in the field. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to our products and systems. Ensure compliance with company and industry standards in all projects. Maintain a high degree of awareness about emerging technologies and their potential applications within our product suite. Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, liaising with various internal departments.
Applications Engineer Requirements:
Master's or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or other relevant fields, or a Professional Engineering (PE) license. Experience in estimating, electrical design, operation, and commissioning of substations, switchgear, ATP/ATS, emergency power systems and their control systems, power monitoring, and electrical protection. Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of substations, medium or low voltage electrical distribution systems, AC/DC systems, and associated power management or SCADA. Experience with medium voltage systems and data center equipment/environments (e.g., switchgear, generators, transformers, controls, etc.). Experience with Nuclear Power Systems Experience in electrical or applications engineering, in the power management industry. Strong understanding of electrical systems, data acquisition, and energy management solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working closely with cross functional teams and interacting professionally with clients. Proficiency in using engineering software tools and familiarity with programming languages commonly used in the industry. I.e. AutoCAD Electrical and or SolidWorks A keen problem solver with a customer-oriented approach. Ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
