Senior Accountant
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Public Accountant ready to transition into a corporate GL Accounting position. This role requires the ability to pivot between various accounting tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
Perform financial accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Support internal reporting and analysis efforts by preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to management to facilitate decision-making. Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting and inventory management processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls related to financial accounting and inventory management activities. Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support to auditors during audit engagements. Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing accounting expertise and insights to support business objectives and strategic initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of experience in a public accounting role Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal CPA or MBA is a plus
