Manager of Integration & EDI Services
Job Description
Working as a member of the IT Business Office within the Global Office of Information Technology for Melissa & Doug (a Spin Master company), the Manager, Integration & EDI Services will have responsibility for developing and supporting all Melissa & Doug EDI and cloud application integrations.
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager, Integration & EDI Services to lead and support the integration efforts during the Melissa & Doug and Spin Master company merger. This role also includes ongoing responsibility for supporting, enhancing, and building the organization's existing integration and EDI systems. You will manage a team of specialists while ensuring seamless application and EDI integration processes for e-commerce platforms and other business-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in EDI, the Boomi integration solution, and ERP systems, preferably SAP, along with strong leadership and project management skills.
Specific Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of integration and EDI professionals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Lead new project builds and enhancements for integrations and EDI systems to support evolving business needs.
Collaborate with organizational strategic leaders to ensure the seamless integration and consolidation of technology systems, aligning them with enterprise standards across Spin Master and Melissa & Doug.
Establish and maintain reusable frameworks, templates, and best practices for integration processes.
Support the end-to-end integration processes for e-commerce systems, applications, and EDI platforms during and after the merger.
Provide ongoing support for EDI operations, addressing issues, and implementing enhancements for Customer and Warehouse integrations.
Administrate and oversee the design, development, and optimization of integrations using the Boomi integration platform.
Manage and support EDI transactions, including mapping, translation, and system connectivity (e.g., 810, 850, 856).
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define integration and project requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues to maintain business continuity during peak season.
Drive process improvements, innovation, and adherence to industry standards across integration efforts.
Reporting Lines: Reporting directly into the Director, Data & Integration under the IT organization.
Required Skill Set: Hands on EDI experience, including working with various EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT, XML).
Proven expertise with the Boomi integration platform.
Strong familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Experience leading teams and managing large-scale integration and support projects.
Proficiency in middleware technologies and API integration.
In-depth knowledge of EDI protocols and system connectivity (e.g., AS2, VAN, SFTP).
Experience with e-commerce platforms and related integration workflows.
Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field.
10+ years of hands-on EDI experience, including working with EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT, XML).
5+ years of experience developing integrations using the Boomi cloud integration platform.
5+ years experience leading a technical team.
Experience or understanding of as many of these related areas as possible: XML messaging structure, Web services, SOAP and REST API's, SAP integration services, AWS, and Data Warehousing.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
Experience in Toy Industry an asset in any of the following areas: customer service, marketing or sales support, operations, finance.
