Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Resource Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care across multiple departments including Inpatient Services, Critical Care, Birthing Center, and Emergency Services within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. This role involves coordinating patient education and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of professional nursing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care to assigned patients, adapting to various units as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physical, psychological, spiritual, and social aspects upon patient admission.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized interdisciplinary care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide ongoing reassessment and documentation of patient status, recognizing complications and initiating appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and IV therapy safely, maintaining accurate records.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes and treatment plans at an understandable level.
- Assist with discharge planning from admission through hospitalization, involving the patient, family, and care team.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for new staff members.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid in the regional state.
- Certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within one year of hire.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of employment.
- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple nursing departments.
- Competence in labor and delivery, including recognizing abnormal labor, performing vaginal exams, and interpreting fetal monitoring.
- Strong organizational skills to manage workload efficiently and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

- Ability to maintain regular attendance and perform physical demands of the role.
