Seeking Legal Assistant Do you want to help our attorneys give supporting and unyielding representation to provide our clients with a brighter future? We are a family law, probate law firm and estate planning firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team and work directly with the attorneys to support the team and help our clients. We want to be known for helping our clients come out of extremely emotional processes feeling as though they are a better person and that they had a team behind them that really cared and fought for them. We are growing fast, and we need a Legal Assistant who can hit the ground running. This position will be responsible for important work, including: Setting up and maintaining the organization of client files, physical and digitally through use of a practice management software. Being an integral part of the legal process by drafting letters and pleadings on family law cases, probate cases and personal injury cases our law firm handles. Filing pleadings electronically on the Court's electronic filing system Interacting with clients, both in person, via email and over to the phone to assist the attorneys in handling cases Creating a positive and professional impression and experience for all our clients Being a key team member by supporting the attorneys and other staff members as needed, including assisting the receptionist periodically with some call screening If these statements appeal to you, then you may be our Legal Assistant: You can maintain your professional composure in all situations, even stressful ones and flourish in a fast-paced small law firm environment You smile when you answer the phone or deal with clients You are an amazing scheduler with a sickening degree of attention to detail You are very good with calendars, e-mail, spreadsheets, word processing, and the internet Your middle name is “No Drama” You are an awesome juggler of tasks and can change gears quickly You do not think scanning and copying are “beneath you” We love to help people learn and grow. But we don't have the time for that right now. We need a Legal Assistant with experience in providing support to our awesome team of attorneys. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done, complete tasks with minimal hand-holding and will have the foresight to complete tasks that the candidate knows will need to be completed at some point down the line but which may not need be completed right now. This is a full-time job where you are expected to manage a caseload, so you absolutely must be able to work in the office for 40 hours per week. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. There is an opportunity for growth in our firm for those candidates who can demonstrate their profitability.
