Director of Accounting - Direct Hire

The client is seeking a Director of Accounting for their Columbus-based subsidiary operation. The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of experience in corporate accounting and will be responsible for overseeing all accounting processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP. This position will work closely with the FP&A manager and will be the lead finance role in the business unit.Key responsibilities for this role include leading all accounting operations, improving cost accounting systems, methods, and procedures to drive profitability and operational efficiency, and developing internal controls to safeguard company assets. The Director of Accounting will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and overseeing cost accounting, trial balance maintenance, and reconciliation. This is an onsite position in Columbus, OH.Overall, the Director of Accounting will play a crucial role in the financial management of the client's subsidiary operation. They will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, as well as driving profitability through effective cost accounting practices.
