HVAC Technician
Job Description
Summary:
Performs all aspects of Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) including maintenance and repair of HVAC/R systems while meeting or exceeding customer and industry standards, and to achieve customer satisfaction through a unified commitment to job competency and unsurpassed service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct preventive maintenance and identify potential problems to maintain equipment reliability Effectively diagnose and repair all types of HVAC equipment. Work with equipment vendors to properly identify necessary parts for system repairs. Communicate problems to customers and provide them with the appropriate solutions. Timely submission of daily paperwork and service reports. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience (commercial experience preferred) Vocational or Associate Degree in mechanical systems, electronics, or similar field preferred. EPA universal certification. Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record in order to drive a company issued vehicle. Should be flexible in your schedule and be able to work in an on-call rotation. Able to pass a pre-employment substance screening and background check. Willingness and desire to provide our clients with a superior customer service experience
Physical Demands:
Work is mostly performed in an outdoor setting with some tasks in an office environment. Hand-eye Coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stand and talk or hear, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell. Must be able to climb ladders and work heights. Occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Normally works in outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and in high, precarious places. Exposure to wet and humid conditions, airborne particles and confined spaces.
