Job Description
Attorney will provide legal counsel to various teams, focusing on technology, marketing, commercial contracting, procurement, and privacy. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, offering legal guidance on IT, marketing, procurement, and compliance issues, and supporting internal teams in navigating regulatory and operational challenges.
Attorney Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including technology agreements (SAAS, software licenses, data sharing), marketing contracts (influencer, event, sponsorship agreements), and procurement agreements (RFPs, vendor contracts). Advise internal stakeholders on legal matters related to IT security, marketing, cloud services, procurement, and compliance. Ensure compliance with privacy and information security terms, including DPAs, SCCs, and relevant regulations. Provide legal support on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, ethics requirements, and federal funding eligibility. Serve as the primary legal liaison for executive and legislative officials on contract and procurement matters. Research, develop, and maintain contract templates, policies, and long-term strategies for procurement and asset management. Review and approve work products, ensure fiscal compliance, and monitor performance measures related to contracts and procurement.
Attorney Requirements:
JD and admission to the Ohio Bar in good standing. 2-5 years of legal experience in transactional, technology, or procurement law; at least 1 year of in-house experience preferred. Knowledge of procurement procedures and compliance regulations. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with an ability to manage projects independently. Experience in providing training on legal compliance and contract management. Ability to work in a hybrid/remote environment with occasional on-site presence.
