Job Description: OverviewThis position is responsible for leading teams of engineers and technical professionals in Schematic design and PS&E for highway projects for the Transportation division. ResponsibilitiesProvides guidance and direction to project design teams by managing workload, scheduling, project timeline, QA/QC, and oter tasks as needed within the scope of a project.Leads multi-discipline support consultant teams in project development and design.Pursues and wins contracts within the State and various municipalities.Presents new ideas and techniques to clients and stakeholders.Supports efforts in proposal development, project scoping, and developing client relationships.Attends design review meetings and interact with clients with support staffTracks budgets using financial metrics.Participates in professional associations and attend industry networking events.QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas.15+ years' multi-discipline experience in schematic design and PS&E, with at least 10 years' managing projects from conception to completion.Ability to manage multiple work assignments and/or contracts for multiple clients simultaneously.Ability to technically and professionally mentor members of project team.Ability to remain flexible to changing client demands.Exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of employees in an organization.Must be able to work from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.EEO Statement: All qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
