Summary: The Ecommerce Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the vision, execution, and support of the ecommerce platform. This position requires strong project management skills, as well as advanced knowledge of both business processes and technologies that align with business objectives. Additionally, this person will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of quality and service; maintaining strong communication channels with both internal and external IT partners and the business. They will work collaboratively with peers and multiple technology domains on cross-functional activities in defining and maintaining application roadmaps and process improvement initiatives tied to e-commerce.
Duties to include (but not limited to):
Partners with business leaders to develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the e-commerce platform, ensuring end-to-end oversight and accountability for the application portfolio.
Acts as the primary point of contact for e-commerce application strategy and project management.
Analyzes existing e-commerce transactions and traffic to identify and implement customer experience (CX) enhancements.
Provide support to team members, including communicating team goals, identifying learning opportunities, and assisting with new and existing team member training related to e-commerce.
Maintains and updates end-user training materials in collaboration with the superuser community.
Provide subject matter expertise and set best practices for the e-commerce platform, ensuring project work is appropriately scoped and meets business objectives with high quality.
Ensures project deliverables comply with sales/business standards and IT processes.
Ensures applications and the platform are properly supported, resolving all escalated support tickets with urgency and efficiency.
Works with the Help Desk to understand application support metrics and identifies opportunities to improve application stability and user experience.
An Ecommerce Manager will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:
Proven track record of strategic commerce planning and custom journey mapping.
Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Experience with web UI design and interfaces.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for building and styling web pages.
Understanding responsive design principles to ensure optimal performance on various devices.
Knowledge of SEO best practices to optimize web content for search engines.
Experience with testing and debugging tools to ensure the quality and performance of web applications.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment where prioritization and time management are required
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel experience
Education / Experience:
Bachelor's Degree. Business Applications, IT Applications, and/or Graphic Design preferred.
5+ years in ecommerce, business analysis experience. B2B experience is preferred.
Working Demands / Physical Requirements:
General office conditions with continuous sitting with heavy computer usage.
Occasional short-term out-of-town travel for educational purposes
