Scheduling for Medical Specialist

Job Description Job Description Position Summary: This position is full time Specialist position that handles inbound phones for patient scheduling with a medical specialist. The primary responsibility of this role is to triage and schedule patients with the appropriate provider and timeslot. Summary Primary Responsibilities- Office Operations: A. Patient Services- Scheduling appointments, answering phones, Greeting Patients B. Accurate Data Entry- Input and update patient demographics and insurance information. C. Request medical records for physician teams D. Analyze records for completeness and maintain EHR database E. Maintain patient confidentiality F. Administrative support including copying, filing, and data entry G. Special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications:

One-year experience scheduling in orthopedic setting preferred CMA, LPN, or RN preferred Health care insurance and medical terminology preferred Worker’s Compensation, and Medicare experience preferred Critical thinking and decision making skills required Strong communication skills Personal computer skills preferred (Microsoft Office and Windows) Detail oriented and highly dependable Orthopedic experience preferred Office phone experience preferred Ability to type 30 words per minute required

Physical Demands by Position: This position regularly requires the employee stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear. Bending and lifting to 30lbs may be required to complete certain tasks in regarding to filing or equipment troubleshooting. Specific vision requirements consist of close vision, distant vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
