Title: Maintenance Technician III
Location : Hazleton, PA Shift & Hours : 3rd Shift: 9pm to 6am, Monday through Friday. Pay Rate : $34 - $35 p/hour. With a $1.50 shift differential Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K
Requirements to be considered:
4+ years of manufacturing Electrical/Mechanical experience needed. Food background would be a huge plus but not a must. Troubleshooting PLC's is a must.
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician III to join our team. This cross-functional role requires expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining complex electronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentation. The technician will work closely with other trades, including boiler mechanics, HVAC mechanics, locksmiths, and plumbers, to repair and install advanced control systems. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of a variety of systems within our facility.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, repair, fabricate, and install electronic systems, complex gauges, instrumentation, and new parts, including mechanical and electronic interfaces. Work on electronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentation used to control and measure the performance of boilers, access to buildings, building automation systems, fire protection systems, material handling systems (elevators, etc.), time management systems, and energy measurement systems. Program and troubleshoot PLC (programmable logic control) and microprocessor-based systems. Calibrate instruments for accuracy, ensuring fine tolerances and recalibration as needed to meet manufacturer’s specifications. Rebuild instruments, including acquiring necessary parts and tools when applicable. Assist with data communication design and installation. Maintain time and material records, and prepare work reports according to standard operating procedures. Perform inspections and make recommendations for system upgrades and renovations. Use computers to access e-mail, receive work instructions, and complete administrative tasks such as electronic payroll forms. Communicate effectively using a two-way radio or pager system for routine and emergency work-related information. Ensure shop equipment is in proper working condition. Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment. Maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of products and processes. Complete all other related duties as assigned.
