Job Title:Business Systems Analyst 2 Department:Health System Shared Services | IT Supply Chain Systems Job Description Analyzes and validates system requirements and existing business processes and information systems to ensure desirability, practicality, and resource availability and capability. Designs, develops and implements basic pre-built programs to moderately complex programs and/or modifications of existing applications. Devises or modifies procedures to solve basic problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Responsible for program design, testing, debugging, and documentation of moderately complex applications according to organization standards and end-user requirements. Assists in the determination, diagnosis, isolation and resolution of applications resource and utilization problems and errors. Develops fault diagnosis, isolation and resolution techniques that ensure optimal performance is constantly maintained. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, business, healthcare or relevant field and 2 years of experience in computer science, business, healthcare or relevant field or a combination of education and experience. A successful applicant may engage in work designated as quality improvement or applied health services and population health research in a team-oriented and project-based setting. This position is focused primarily on creating and maintaining advanced interactive data visualizations in Tableau within a team development context. Aside from the primary focus of the position, responsibilities for the successful applicant are project-specific and may include combinations of the following: assists with data analysis and measure construction using administrative data such as Medicaid claims or population health survey data; composes reports, whitepapers, and presentation materials; presents results to team members and other audiences; reviews work products from subcontractors; conducts literature searches and literature reviews; assists with the development of protocols and the composition of institutional review board (IRB) applications; and designs data collection instruments including questionnaires and clinical data collection forms.Reporting and Analytics Analysts are expected to perform mainly technical skill tasks. They are expected to complete or assist on tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. Reporting and Analytics Analysts may work on multiple projects at the same time. Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required. The Senior Clinical Applications Analyst will be competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis, implementation and support while considering the clinical implications of the application of technology to the current and future clinical environment. The Senior Clinical Applications Analyst will act as a role model for other team members. As a member of the Willow Ambulatory team within the overall Pharmacy Informatics team, this position will have primary responsibility for informatics support of OSU Outpatient Pharmacy operations. Minimum Qualifications For Hire: This position requires a college degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health, or a related discipline. A minimum of four years of professional experience in information technology and/or healthcare is required; at least one year of experience in a Pharmacy Informatics role with demonstrated success in Pharmacy Informatics project management and systems support/maintenance is required.
