Position Overview: Britt Aero Programmers are responsible for the development of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) programs to produce precision parts on multi-axis machines. CNC programmers are also responsible for the creation of set-up instructions for Britt Aero products and tools. II. Responsibilities: A. Develop CNC programs using Mastercam, by writing G and M codes to produce parts on three, four, and five-axis machines. B. Analyze both customer and in-process prints and models to determine appropriate cutting tools, machine feed rates, and speed rates. C. Develop fixture design and processes used in the production of parts. D. Work concurrently with Process Engineers to create programs and set-up sheets based on outlined processes. E. Troubleshoot and aid machinists, as necessary, in machine adjustments, hand edits, and proving programs. F. Modify existing programs, as necessary, for different machines. G. Maintain up to date knowledge of industry processes and tooling information, including but not limited to, cutting tool innovations. H. Initiate continuous improvement activities for existing parts. III. Requirements: A. Must have previous experience in Mastercam. Five or more years is preferred. B. Proficient in machining, blueprint and model interpretation, GD&T, and specification interpretation. C. Must be a detail oriented, self-starter, and driven individual. The communication and transfer of detailed information and instructions are key to this position. D. Must possess both strong verbal and written communication skills. E. Must have the ability to work well individually, or in a team setting, across various functions and activities. F. Must maintain good attendance and punctuality. G. Must work well under pressure as well as time constraints. IV. Additional Information: A.
