Job Description Job Description Our client, a high-growth, Telecoms software business supplying a wide portfolio of OSS / BSS / Digital Transformation solutions is looking to expand its North American business and is seeking a highly motivated Sales Director to hunt for business with Telecoms Service Providers (Tier 1 and 2).
As a Sales Director, the successful candidate will prospect for new logo business using their existing Service Provider contacts in, events and execute outbound campaigning to build a pipeline of targeted accounts. The person must have a successful track record of delivering against sales targets and have longevity in previous roles.
The Role - Attending trade shows and events - Lead generation and development - Solution selling - Participate in or ideally lead functional presentations and workshops - Commercial awareness, involvement in bid preparation - Pipeline management and reporting - Working with the Presales team to deliver software demonstrations
Experience Required / Key Attributes - Familiarity with BSS / OSS / Digital Transformation applications used in support of a Telecommunications Operator’s business. This familiarity must be demonstrated to enable appreciation of the Customer’s usage of the system and their changing requirements - Able to articulate the applications ROI - Competence with Salesforce and accurate reporting - Capability to navigate a complex customer environment, mapping the key stakeholders and buying personas - Previous experience selling complex solutions - 500K-2 million USD deal sizes - Checking progress against targets, reporting as necessary, and taking action to resolve exceptions. - Managing multiple potential customers of varying sizes (from Tier 1 to Tier 3 operators) and managing multiple opportunities simultaneously and effectively. - The role requires regular traveling to meet with potential customers - Able to demonstrate a strong sales track record spanning at least 5 years
