POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for working with the Human Resources team, management and our employees on a wide range of HR programs, practices and initiatives. This position will work with staff globally but with primary focus in the US. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Human Resources practices globally and will be able to support the objectives of the business and departments. This position will be hybrid working from IMA's Montvale, NJ office typically 1 – 2 days a week and alternate days remote.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for full cycle recruitment including sourcing and screening candidates, interviewing and the placement and onboarding of quality staff including temp staff as needed. Manage staffing agency/recruiter relationships. Ensure compliance with employment regulations in procedures being handled. Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, independent contractors, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely. Manages independent contractor agreements and tracking. Manages the performance evaluation and goal setting process through the HRIS, works with managers to answer questions and ensure timely completions. Sends out communications to Managers and trains on the process as needed. Conducts compensation studies as needed to assist with pay decisions related to new hires, internal promotions and market adjustments. Maintains job descriptions for all positions and ensures new ones are created as needed. Maintains organizational charts. Runs employee engagement surveys and summarizes feedback. Conducts exit interviews and stay interviews and analyzes feedback. Assists HR team with employee social and wellness events. Assists with HR run training programs. Assists with employee relations matters. Maintains good organizational of electronic and physical files. Assists with special projects and provides input to process improvements within the department. Act as a backup to the Sr. HR Generalist as needed. Partner with HR team on various projects and other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required. HR certification highly preferred. 5+ years HR Generalist experience with solid recruitment and employee relations experience. Proven ability to recruit successfully using all major recruiting platforms. Experience working in a multinational organization is preferred. Ability to build rapport across the organization, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. Ability to deal with ambiguity and multiple priorities. Must have superb organizational skills and attention to detail. Possess a strong working knowledge of state and federal employment law. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with others at different levels in the organization. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, possess active listening skills. Results-driven and proactive Problem solver Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Experience with ADP Workforce Now required.
