Job Description Job Description Description: Are you experienced in providing end-user support while also assisting an infrastructure team with server maintenance, upgrades, and network management? If so, Nesnah Ventures has the perfect opportunity for you as our new System Administrator I.
Role:
Provide technical support to end users across all Nesnah businesses, maintain and optimize IT infrastructure including servers and hardware. Collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance operational efficiency, ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, and contribute to IT projects that drive business growth and innovation.
What A Day in Life Might Look Like:
Reviewing and prioritizing support tickets and resolving hardware or software issues for end users. Set up a new employee’s workstation, including hardware installation and software configuration, and lead their IT onboarding session. Troubleshoot and resolve a network connectivity issue reported at one of the portfolio locations. Perform routine maintenance or updates on Windows servers and ensure system backups run smoothly. Administer and maintain remote desktop applications Collaborate with the infrastructure team on a project, such as deploying new endpoint management tools or configuring security applications. Communicate an upcoming system update or downtime to all users via email. Manage IT asset inventory by tagging and logging into new equipment or organizing e-waste recycling. Research and evaluate new technologies to recommend improvements for business operations. Documenting resolved issues, and updating asset records. No on call!
What You Bring to the Table:
An associate degree in a technology-related field. At least 3 years of experience in a support desk/desktop support role. A minimum of 2 years working with Windows Server. Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 Administration. Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10 & 11). Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Active Directory Remote Desktop Services, Proxmox, and PowerShell scripting. System administration tools and hardware infrastructure. Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues. Passion for helping and supporting employees’ technological needs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work as part of a team.
Other Requirements
Availability to occasionally work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, or evenings. Willingness to travel to business locations as needed. A valid driver’s license.
