Pay Rate: $17.00 Per Hour
Shift: 1st Shift, 6AM-4:30PM
Benefits start day 1
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows in a manufacturing environment. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments. Performs repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units. In addition, it may support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows Must work safely Performs any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers Understand and carry out oral instructions. Read and carry out simple written instructions Read work orders, labels, and schedules. Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview) Inspect, examine, and observe for product defects. Make fraction and decimal conversions Operates any equipment needed to perform a job Provide on-the-job training to new employees Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required. Mental/Physical/Visual Demands While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand The employee is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; turning or twisting; pushing; and talk or hear The employee must repetitively lift, push, and/or move 50 pounds unassisted Must be able to pass a background check Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the average plant temperature conditions range from 60°ree; in the cooler months and up to 100°ree; during the warmer months All workstations on the plant floor require the use of protective eyewear, hearing protection, and safety-toe and/or metatarsal shoes Some workstations require additional personal protective equipment, to include but not limited to gloves, arm guards, and leather aprons Safety Safe work performance is always required from each Associate Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the job listed above The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
