Job Description Job Description HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 12:00pm to 6:30pm. Approximately 19.5 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be highly organized, detail oriented, reliable and self-directed with a minimum of 2 years office and computer experience including MS Excel and Word. Bilingual preferred. RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES: I.
Comply with established Policy and Procedure in performance of job duties. II. Develop and maintain positive inter-departmental and inter-organizational relationships. III. Financial Phone Screen, Admission and Transfer Verify previous balances and pull appropriate records for re-admitted individuals; Review and obtain signatures for the Estimate of Fees, ancillary service agreements, insurance, and DASA forms; ·Notify Admissions/Clinical Staff of funding status, such as Medicaid and other 3rd Party payer benefits; ·Comply with 3rd Party payer requirements and/or agreements; Negotiate individualized pay agreement contract for previous and current fees; · Collect fees/co-payments; and ·Update Medisoft V. Financial Discharge: Obtain the individual’s address and phone number; Update Medisoft if necessary; Negotiate individualized pay agreement regarding remaining balance; and Prepare and submit refund requests. V. Payments: Record all payments received in the pre-numbered receipt book; Record the payment in Medisoft VI. Payment Agreement Monitoring: Meet with all active IOP/OP individuals as scheduled; Obtain income verification, as changes occur; Obtain copies of Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care cards and re-verify each month; and Issue Non-Compliance to inform Program Managers and other applicable staff when necessary; VII. 3rd Party Claims Monitoring: Monitor insurance claims monthly and as EOB’s are received specifically related to Outpatient levels of care; Report collection issues to Client Accounts Coordinator and seek guidance on steps for resolution VIII. End of Month Support: Coordinate with other Client Accounts staff to ensure that all admits, transfers, discharges, residential attendance, DOSDS, and 1x1 staff reports for the month have been received from Admissions, Residential Services, and Outpatient Services; Coordinate with other Client Accounts staff to ensure that all data has been entered into Medisoft; Review unapplied payment report, prepare refund requests, and update Medisoft as necessary; Produce and remit self-pay statements. IX. Other Client Accounts Related duties: Coordinate with other Client Accounts staff to review Fees for Services procedures during the first quarter of each financial year with other Client Accounts staff; Create, modify and maintain active financial records; File and maintain closed financial records; Assist with miscellaneous telephone inquiries and/or walk-ins; and Review Patient Aging Report monthly and submit write-off requests to Administrative Director Research address information for returned refunds and statements. X. Administrative Needs Coordination: Assist in various communication projects including, but not limited to: Periodic mailings. Document sorting and distribution. Sending information via fax to multiple persons/sites. XI. Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Administrative Director.
