Part-Time Inventory Assistant
Location : 1699 West Mound Street Columbus, Ohio 43223 Reports to : Operations Dietitian Hours : Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5am-10am
Job Overview: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Inventory Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for unloading food and supply deliveries, organizing products, and ensuring inventory is accurately counted and recorded. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Truck Unloading: Unload goods from delivery trucks using manual labor. Ensure all products are handled with care to prevent damage. Move and store products in designated warehouse locations. Assist in organizing products by category, size, or priority.
Inventory Counting and Management: Count and verify items upon receipt to ensure accuracy with delivery documentation. Track stock levels and update inventory management systems. Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the Operations Dietitian. Assist with inventory counts and the end of each month.
Organization and Maintenance: Keep the unloading area clean and free of hazards. Maintain orderliness of the warehouse by ensuring products are properly stored. Assist in maintaining accurate labeling and shelving systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Dietitian to ensure timely unloading and stocking of inventory. Communicate effectively with kitchen management regarding any issues or delays.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or inventory environment is a plus. Ability to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks. Basic knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects regularly and for extended periods. Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
Working Conditions:
Production kitchen environment. Frequent work in freezer and cooler units
