Scope of Position:
The Sales Planner will hold dual responsibilities in Demand Planning and Supply Planning/Supply Chain Operations. The role plays a key part in optimizing both demand and supply planning processes to ensure alignment between forecasts and inventory levels.
Job Responsibilities:
Demand Planning
Generate and maintain monthly SKU-level retailer POS and wholesale shipment forecasts through data analysis of historical data, trends, promotions, and partnerships with the Sales Team.
Analyze and report retailer POS sales weekly to identify trends, re-forecast as needed, and provide recommendations of opportunities and gaps to the Sales Team.
Weekly and monthly reporting of KPIs and forecast accuracy. Weekly reporting and confirmation of shipment forecasts for the month/quarter/year.
Attend retailer buying and planning meetings to gain insight into future retail and purchasing behaviors.
Generate ad hoc reporting for sales, forecasts, and inventory upon request
Supply Planning
Assist with maintaining master wholesale shipment forecasts for all customers Reconcile and actualize sales and forecast data monthly Work closely with production partners overseas to plan purchasing and shipping schedules. Create inventory availability lists, track sensitive inventory levels and hold account. Make recommendations for inventory reduction/optimization.
Maintain item information in forecast databases
Competency/Skill Needed:
2-3 years experience in forecasting at a retail company or wholesale company selling to major retailers Able to analyze and report on complex data sets Strong math and critical thinking skills with an attention to detail Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions Experience using professional ERP systems (Netsuite is a plus)

Work Authorization & Arrangement:

Work Arrangement: This position is a hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to work on-site at our New York City office (i.e. Financial District) at least two days per week. The remaining days can be remote, offering flexibility while fostering collaboration and team engagement in the office.
