The learning level Quality Assurance Technician works under direct supervision to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to apply quality standards and perform audit processes and inspection requirements.
Compensation: Non-exempt hourly pay based on experience. OT and Performance Bonus eligible. Travel: None Location: Newbury, OH Manufacturing Facility. 1st Shift 7:00a-3:30pm M-F
Key Responsibilities:
Learns production procedures that ensure conformance to engineering specifications. Verifies processes related to quality and are understood and followed. Develops knowledge and skills necessary to perform visual and dimensional inspection of molded and purchased parts. Learns testing protocols that verify the functionality of a product or part, and the use of appropriate measuring and testing equipment. Acquires knowledge of process audits that ensure adherence to work instructions. Learns and performs dock audits that ensure adherence to shipping and packaging standards. Records data into the databases that contain inspection records. Maintains work area by cleaning, straightening, and sweeping as necessary. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures and maintains a safe and clean work area. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications:
High School Diploma required. Ability to operate effectively both as an individual and as a part of a team. Basic mechanical and math aptitude. Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet proficiency. Basic mental and visual attention to detail. Basic written and verbal communication skills in a business setting. Basic organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to read simple blueprints. Ability to use calibrated gages, tools, and fixtures.

Develops the skills obtained through prior experience and/or formal training to perform key responsibilities as documented in the QA Training and Qualification Matrix. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and apply basic analytical skills to perform activities. Works with others in a manner that promotes teamwork, learning and development of self and of others. Uses tools and equipment safely and properly. Follows procedures and documents results accurately. Completing work assignments on a timely basis.
