Job Description Job Description Overview: Paragon Poultry Management Group is expanding its financial department and seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Billing & Payroll Manager to join our growing team. This position is integral to the financial success of the organization, managing daily financial operations across 8 entities. The ideal candidate will be positive, team-oriented, and skilled in billing and payroll processes, ensuring efficient and accurate financial documentation and operations. Key Responsibilities:
General Administrative Support Assist with answering phones and receiving/distributing mail. Maintain and track inventory. Ensure vaccine inventory is accurately recorded in QuickBooks. Manage and oversee the billing and payroll functions for multiple entities Accurately process and pay bills, including preparing checks for mailing and e-filing. Collect W-9s from new vendors. Timely processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy of data. Bill between entities and externally to customers. Process company reimbursements and customer jobs. Reporting & Documentation Maintain billing schedule by cross-referencing job schedules, pullet reports, and hatch paperwork. Create and manage a utility spreadsheet organized by entity, utility company, utility type, location, and due date. Ensure flock reporting is current and maintain an expense tracking spreadsheet. Scan and e-file documents as needed. Regularly update vaccine costs in QuickBooks and maintain an accurate financial record. Team Collaboration Work closely with the financial team and other departments to ensure seamless operations. Assist the team with tasks as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
Analytical and financial mindset with the ability to problem-solve. Strong understanding of financial concepts, including Fixed Assets, COGS, Expenses, Income, and Liabilities. Honest, ethical, and highly attentive to detail. Reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations. Ability to manage one's own time effectively while maintaining discretion regarding company financial documents and information. A positive attitude towards employees, customers, and visitors, with a strong commitment to teamwork.
Work Experience / Education:
Associate’s degree or equivalent job experience in a financial or accounting role. QuickBooks experience preferred. Strong accounting or financial background. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Numbers.
