Basecamp Recovery Center is seeking a Clinical Director for our Franklinton location. Our team, which includes social workers, case managers, peers, counselors, and medical professionals, plays a vital role in helping our patients succeed in their recovery journey. Job Summary: The individual is responsible for managing and coordinating all clinical programs at Basecamp Recovery Center. This person develops, directs, and oversees the clinical aspects of all treatment programs. Additionally, they are responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating clinical staff, including taking appropriate action for terminations when necessary.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
-Develops, directs, supervises, and evaluates all aspects of clinical care and treatment within the agency. Responsible for planning future patient services and implementing changes as needed. - Reviews and approves patient admission assessments completed by clinical staff. - Provides consultation, supervision, and training to clinical staff on all facets of clinical practices. - Assists Human Resources in interviewing candidates for open positions within the clinical services department, as requested. Also assists in the termination of clinical services department staff when necessary. - Evaluate the performance of the clinical team annually and sign off on all performance evaluations. - Ensures regular reviews of individual patient records are conducted for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards. - Monitors agency clinical policies and procedures across all programs to ensure compliance with the requirements of various funders and applicable laws. - Ensures efficient planning and effective delivery of clinical services, clinical caseload management, admission procedures, and services tailored to meet patient needs. - Provides individual and group supervision to clinical staff. - Assists the clinical team in finding coverage for clinical services for individuals and groups during staff absences. - Provides backup administrative support when required. - Oversees the continuous quality improvement of the agency's utilization review, peer review, clinical records, and risk management, in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer. - Monitors the treatment progress of patients, recommends appropriate treatment techniques when necessary, and assists in identifying and addressing transference issues involving patients and staff members. - Attends daily Clinical Staffing Meetings with the clinical team to facilitate peer support, share information regarding patient treatment, and address any programming and administrative issues. Provides input and direction whenever needed.
Skills Required: - Proficient in Google Suite - Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills - Excellent oral and written communication - Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills - Management and supervisory experience - Ability to connect with diverse individuals
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: - A graduate degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required. - An LISW-S certification is preferred. - A minimum of 3 years of experience in the administration and supervision of clinical service delivery is required. - At least 5 years of counseling experience is required. - A minimum of 5 years of experience working with treatment teams is also necessary.
