Plans, assigns, and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. Coordinate production activities with purchasing, scheduling, engineering, quality, and maintenance to obtain maximum production and utilization of personnel, machines, and equipment. Ensures daily GMP audits are conducted by production supervisors and corrective actions are documented and conduct RCA on reoccurrences. Ensures production team meets sanitation requirements during production and disassembly. Perform quality control tests and ensure dough meets quality standards and customers’ specifications. Reports to the production supervisor any issues or suggestions to improve quality performance or the working environment. Minimum Qualifications Education and/or Experience: 5+ years of experience in a production environment, preferably in food manufacturing. 3+ years in a management or leadership role. Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business, Engineering, Food Science, or technical field) or equivalent experience required. Strong managerial skills. Experience with continuous improvement methods such as Lean (Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, etc.) is preferred. Knowledge of bakery operations/processing/formulations preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills written and verbal, with all team members in a manufacturing environment. Active listening skills. Proven record in training employees about safety and production. Ability to coach and motivate employees. Strong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Effectively use key performance indicators (KPI) and data analysis to drive results. Demonstrated cost reduction, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Attentive to details to be able to identify issues, trends, and drive solutions. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems required.
