Must participate in on site and remote direct implementation of ABA programs across sessions for all areas of the students Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Provide direct student care following the prescribed Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). Apply all MBS safety procedures when transporting or working with students. May include physical management, environmental awareness, maintaining line of sight supervision, using and wearing PPE etc. Collect and record data on observable student behavior. Participate in the upkeep of student graphs and graphing systems via graphing software or other visual display Preparation of student materials for the school day (preparing student workspace, and classroom, obtaining required materials for the day, etc.). Must implement all PMT techniques as necessary per certification standards and in line with organizational policy and maintain certification. Properly wear PPE, attend all trainings related to PPE and follow all safety procedures and requirements with or without accommodation. Maintain dignity, confidentiality & professionalism with students and adhere to policy and protocols. Participate in MBS assigned trainings – in person, synchronous, asynchronous or remote. Maintain open and ongoing communication, including e-mail communication. Accompany students on community outings and/or vocational placements as specified by student’s programming. Complete other tasks as assigned.
The minimum qualifications and requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree preferred. RBT credential preferred. Experience in the implementation of behavioral assessment/treatment programs with the developmentally disabled population is highly preferred. A basic knowledge of computer systems and applicable software and proficiency with e-mail communication. Good organizational, multitasking, and communication skills (oral and written). Required to follow all safety procedures and requirements. When implementing emergency procedures ('PMT’), must perform maneuvers and actions associated with managing students independently or as part of an orchestrated team effort. Must be able to physically care for younger children up to 6 years old with or without assistance of one or additional designated persons. The job duties require an employee to routinely and safely demonstrate heavy to very heavy physical demands associated with ‘hand on’ efforts when physically managing students, under routine, emergency, and/or aggressive behavior management scenarios. This position requires in-person, on-site attendance.
