Summary: Working with other Driver Leads, Driver Supervisor, and Management as a leadership team over drivers and daily delivery operations. Each driver lead will be assigned a “team” of 10-15 drivers, and will be the go-to lead for the drivers on their team.
Each driver lead will be responsible for conducting 1:1’s, approving timecards, issuing disciplinary action, giving regular feedback and coaching on wins and opportunities for each driver on their team.
Availability: Must be available to work weekends and open and/or closing shifts. Rotating schedule. Must have the flexibility to adjust your schedule based on business needs.
Responsibilities include: Team Support and Development Support the hiring and training of new drivers Proactively address employee issues and needs Support the development of each employee Collaborate with fellow leads and management to document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Best Practices Track and monitor driver performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) including safety, compliance, and adhering to processes Develop high performing drivers through daily interactions, coaching, ride-alongs, and conducting regular reviews Maintain an ongoing knowledge of compliance and company processes Proactively address any attendance issues and resolve any coverage issues to ensure we have the resources needed to meet the demand Make timecard adjustments and approve timecards for the drivers on your team, on a biweekly basis - as well as oversee PTO and time off requests according to company policy Keep detailed, organized notes and documentation for all employee issues, coaching, 1:1’s, etc. and effectively communicate with management and HR with anything that must be addressed. Actively seek feedback from Dispatch and Customer Support regarding driver performance Collaborate effectively with other departments such as Dispatch and Fulfillment to ensure smooth delivery operations Oversee daily driver and delivery operations - ensure drivers are set up for success with the routes assigned and departing on time Ensuring drivers have all orders and equipment needed before departing Ensure drivers check their orders and prepare well before departing
Check-in each driver from their route Accounting for all undelivered order returns Handling cash reconciliation
Checking in/out vehicle and equipment Oversee daily vehicle/driver assignment in Fleetio and Samsara Oversee vehicle care and maintenance Review and fill out route and driver tracker to ensure adequate driver coverage, proactively address any lapses in coverage Oversee daily compliance audits to ensure patients are providing a valid ID and Med card before we complete the delivery. (Reviewing delivery photos in onfleet or delivery manifest) Check/restock driver equipment bags- monitor supply levels Ensure payment devices are properly returned and put away to charge so they are ready for the next day Ensure any device/payment issues have a ticket submitted with IT and are properly communicated/escalated
Assist in holding regular team and training meetings to ensure alignment with company needs and expectations.
