Job Description Job Description Supports and coordinates the daily and recurring administrative functions of the Office of Student Affairs while implementing effective practices to ensure student success and efficient departmental operations. Provides direction, support, and guidance to all student organizations about operations, communications, budgets, and events. This position involves accessing sensitive and confidential information on almost a daily basis thus requiring the highest level of discretion. Demonstrates a high level of computer literacy to produce written materials and maintain data. Assists with all internal and external Law School room reservations. Highly involved in event planning and publication.
Primary roles and responsibilities:
Provides comprehensive assistance and support to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and the Office of Student Affairs. Manages and coordinates logistics of all exam accommodations and exam conflicts for midterms, finals, and quizzes. Manages 25+ student organizations each year. Serves as liaison between Law School's Office of Student Affairs and the University's Accessibility Services Director and Center for Health and Wellness. Assists with Law School room reservations for internal and external constituencies.
Qualifications :
Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma. College degree preferred and/or 1+ years of Student Affairs experience or other specialized training. Possesses excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook), video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, and can readily learn new computer software applications and platforms. Experience preferred in using an administrative information system such as Ellucian Colleague. Flexibility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Detail-oriented. Requires minimal supervision and demonstrates initiative. Excellent professional communication skills (verbal and written). Supports departmental goals and priorities. Contributes to Capital University's philosophy, strategic plan, goals, and doctrine.
