Our Calibration Technicians follow released SOPs and procedures to maintain the calibration and proper functionality of Norsk Titanium's Rapid Plasma Deposition (RPD™) machines and all subsystems in support of production capacity requirements. In a typical day, your expertise:
Successfully performs maintenance and calibration activities on RPD™ machines Diagnoses complex issues independently and presents appropriate solutions Performs repairs on critical components maintaining operational status of the machine Performs precise adjustments to machine positioning, machine home positions, etc. to ensure optimal performance Supports Mechatronics Engineering as necessary during instillation, commissioning, site acceptance testing and machine qualification testing Provides support to Production Team, as required for operation of machines Follows and adheres to all safety policies and procedures, including adherence to Safe Working Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures, without compromise Performs and documents RPD™ machine calibrations in accordance with established procedures Maintains production equipment to quality standards, in accordance with established procedures Properly documents all work performed Contributes to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for improvement in both equipment and processes Assists with troubleshooting and repairing complex and interconnected systems, using wiring diagrams, schematics, technical documents, etc., as requested Continuously learns and expands knowledge of RPD™ and supporting processes Proactively leads continuous improvement efforts to improve profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, etc. in areas of responsibility Adheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines Other duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of business
We're thrilled to find candidates with:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Documented completion of a technical and/or vocational training program and 12 months of maintenance experience, or 3 or more years of experience in maintenance functions in industrial or other settings Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft office suite Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and root cause analysis preferred Experience with the following preferred: DC electrical systems, welding equipment, programmable logic controllers, and CNC systems Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA regulations, specifically as they apply to manufacturing and qualified electrical application Fluent mastery of English language

Physical Requirements:
The ability to stand/walk on concrete floors for 8 or more hours during the course of a day Manual dexterity of the hands and fingers While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and controls, to operate a computer and perform machine set up and maintenance through lifting, bending and stooping The ability to sit in front of a computer for 2 or more hours daily Good vision (20/40) with or without corrective devices The ability to lift, bend, stoop, and walk up/down stairs and ladders While the physical demands described above are generally representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.
