SUMMARY
The Equipment Sales Representative will be responsible for an assigned territory, selling oil/gas/propane heating and air conditioning equipment as well as whole house generators to residential customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve monthly sales objectives. Manage leads generated from our in-house call center. Establish leads and prospect sources through cold calling as well as developing relationships with small businesses and community organizations. Manage the book of business through our proprietary lead management system. Analyze customer's/prospect's heating and cooling needs and related system requirements, including layout and design of new HVAC systems. Prepare and deliver sales presentations in the home. Prepare installation/terms documentation; complete equipment materials list and secure the necessary credit documentation. Work closely with branch operations - service and installation departments, to ensure that jobs meet customer needs and deliver complete customers satisfaction. Keep abreast of technological developments impacting the industry.
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of residential home sales experience, bachelor’s degree a plus. Knowledge of oil/gas/propane heating and air conditioning equipment as well as whole house generators and the ability to assess customer’s needs to size the equipment to meet those needs. Available to visit customer homes early mornings, nights and weekends. Knowledge of home permit requirements. Ability to manage leads and develop new lead sources. Ability to meet and achieve specific goals and objectives. Ability to work independently while supporting the entire sales team. Strong customer service skills. Persuasive, outgoing and goal oriented. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient technology/computer skills including e-mail, internet, Word, Excel and Smartphone with data plan. Must have a vehicle and clean driving record for the last 5 years and meet minimal insurance coverage levels required by HOP Energy: $100,000 collision, $300,000 comprehensive.
