Survey & Certification (S&C) Senior Advisor Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS) is seeking a highly skilled Survey & Certification (S&C) Senior Advisor to join our Technical Assistance Team. This remote position offers flexibility and can be either casual or full-time. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and a deep understanding of the Survey & Certification processes, including the regulations enforced, state agency operations, CMS operations, and the tools used for tracking information. Responsibilities:
Exhibit excellent communication skills and confidently provide system and content demonstrations. Conduct research tasks and present findings to stakeholders. Understand the S&C systems, their functionality within CMS or State Agencies, and the processes they support. Assist with coordination of team members and manage work effectively. Support overall project management functions.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years of direct experience in management or oversight of a State Survey Agency (SSA) or division within a SSA or CMS. Familiarity with federal CMS systems (e.g., ACO/ARO, ACTS, AEM, QIES/iQIES, CASPER, ASPEN Web, etc.). Knowledge of federal S&C regulations, requirements outlined in the SOM and CFR, and related processes. Preferred experience with CMS systems and/or direct work with S&C data. In-depth understanding of S&C regulations and processes is a plus. Demonstrated understanding of S&C data and its applications is also a plus.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution. Master’s Degree preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education requirements.
