We are looking for an Accounting/HR Manager to join our team and oversee the Accounting and Human Resources function. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the planning and development of accounting and reporting processes for compliance with applicable accounting standards. You will facilitate the management of account payables, receivables, and reconciliations. Responsible for providing information on HR policies and procedures to all staff members and identify/anticipate our future recruiting needs. Apart from that, you will assist in other operational tasks, including establishing new HR policies and procedures, setting up the new benefits administration structure, recruiting new talent, conducting performance reviews, resolving conflicts between employees, and similar tasks, on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate needs to have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. You should also be experienced with using accounting software, such as Quickbooks and Payroll software. Responsibilities Ensure that all employees submit their time sheets promptly and accurately Maintain all employee records regarding payroll, such as PTO and vacation requests, bonuses, overtime, taxes, and other modifications to salaries Work with benefits carriers to administer benefits to applicable employees Process bi-monthly or monthly payroll payments using payroll software Reconcile monthly and quarterly accounts and review financial reports to ensure they are accurate Maintain and update all personnel records regularly Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets and cash flows, to report to senior management Serve as the main point of contact for staff inquiries regarding our HR policies Help define HR guidelines and policies and ensure compliance with labor laws on the federal and state level Complete administrative tasks as necessary, including processing payroll, managing employee records, organizing workshops, etc. Assist with recruitment by supporting candidate screening processes, background checks, interviews, contract negotiations, employee onboarding, and performance evaluation Negotiate benefits rates (for health insurance, life insurance, retirement funds, etc.) with different providers Conduct employee performance reviews and prepare evaluation reports for top-level management Investigate and resolve informal employee complaints through mediation Requirements At least 3 years of experience working in Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting, or any similar position Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, Business Management, or job-related experience preferred Working knowledge of applicable accounting standards and practices Experience using ADP Software preferred or other payroll software Expertise using software, such as Quickbooks Outstanding analytical skills and a keen eye for detail Extensive knowledge of employment laws and best HR practices Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills Attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to multitask Certifications in human resources management (SHRM-SCP or SPHR) preferred
