The purpose of the Business Office Coordinator is to ensure that business office functions accurately and timely for proper generation of management reports, cashflows, insurance verification/authorizations, upfront collections, medical records, and daily submission of billing packets for charge entry. This role will report directly to the Administrator /DON.
POSITION’S ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resolution of all outstanding facility items preventing claims submission Managing revenue cycle process. Complete all month end close processes. Assures compliance to industry regulatory standards as well as the company standards, policies and procedures. Communicates regularly and effectively. Dynamic leadership skills to help direct, coach and motivate staff. Conduct personnel evaluations for employees supervised. Interview and hire personnel as needed due to staff changes. Conduct departmental meetings as needed to ensure clear communication and ensure processes are good. Maintain strict confidentiality in regard to patient account status. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 1 -2 years business office management experience in healthcare setting.
