Two Legal Assistant Opportunities
Hybrid Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Minimum 3 days a week in office, 2 days a week remotely REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have 3+ years of law firm experience. Candidates must be able to type 55+ wpm and have excellent spelling, grammar and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team member. Candidate will also provide attorneys with administrative support. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Real Estate Legal Assistant ( background in transactional real estate required)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist attorneys with client communication, creating, formatting and revising legal documents, straight typing, proofread work for accuracy prior to returning to attorneys, and answering phones. Enter attorney time for tracking Submit expense and reimbursement reports Manage and prioritize incoming email and correspondence. Scan and e-mail documents
Floater Legal Assistant ( background in Litigation, Corporate and Trust & Estate required) RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist attorneys with client communication, creating, formatting and revising legal documents, straight typing and proofreading work for accuracy. Use of Firm Macros. Pleading Preparation. Conversion of Documents from PDF to Word. Winscribe Transcription. Knowledge of Kofax PDF Functions. Scan and e-mail documents. Enter attorney time using iTimekeep. Submitting expense and reimbursement reports using Chrome River. Electronic filing of court documents using the NYSCEF and CM/ECF platforms. Schedule zoom meetings and conferences. Submit vendor invoices for payment. Demonstrate an attitude of cooperation with legal staff, peers, and administrators.
