Nonprofit Accounting Manager
Strong GAAP financial statement preparation.
Experience with grants (need to have experience classifying restricted and unrestricted, and experience with the entries and allocation of expenses to the various programs).
Supervisory experience, ideally a staff of 2 or more is preferred.
Candidate can be an Accounting Manager or a very experienced Senior Accountant seeking a controllership title.
Financial Edge (FE) and bill.com for their accounts payable is a plus.Financial statement preparation.Manage the month-end closing.
Government Grants
Someone with experience taking full ownership of the general ledger (strong GAAP and journal entry experience).
Experience with the classification of restricted and unrestricted funds.
Experience allocating expenses to the various programs (allocation includes the calculation to determine the share that needs to be applied to each program. These are typically indirect costs such as insurance, rent, corporate overhead, etc.).
Supervise staff (1 Senior Accountant and 1 Accountant).
Perform a trend analysis during month-end and explain variances to management.
Provide support for the external auditors.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
