Position Overview The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine is actively recruiting an endocrinologist with interest or and/or expertise in thyroid disorders to join our exciting practice. This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care for patients with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, and other thyroid disorders; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and other scholarly activities such as quality improvement activities and clinical research. The division is highly recognized in clinical and research programs in thyroid cancer, type 1 and type 2 diabetes; adrenal and pituitary disorders; metabolic bone disease, obesity, women’s health, and other hormone conditions. Division Overview The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism has been recognized for excellence by U.S. News and World Report on an ongoing basis. We are committed to excellence in clinical care, the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and discoveries to improve the care of patients with endocrine and endocrine-related disorders through laboratory and clinical research. Duties and Responsibilities This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care to endocrine patients with a focus on thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and basic or clinical research. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, thyroid ultrasound and fine needle aspirations, e-consults, and inpatient consults. Requirements Candidates must have an MD or DO Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience Faculty Defined Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. What You'll Do: Hands-On Production Work: Complete specialized tasks within your trade—whether it’s drywall finishing, plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry—to meet quality and safety standards. Training & Development: Train and instruct Production Associates on techniques specific to your area, ensuring they can contribute effectively to the production line . Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of work in your specialty throughout the production process, identifying and resolving issues as they arise. Collaboration: Work closely with other production specialists and team members to ensure seamless integration of all construction components. Qualifications: Experience: 1-2 years of experience in your area of expertise (drywall, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry) is essential. Previous experience training others is a plus. Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to guide and mentor team members. Competencies: Attendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrives on time and completes the assigned shift. Quality Focus: Maintains high standards for work, identifying and correcting defects to ensure top quality. Safety-Conscious: Adheres to all safety guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your team. The Habilitation Specialist is an active and integral member of the day habilitation team at 360 Total Care, dedicated to supporting and enhancing the lives of participants with developmental disabilities. This position involves extensive community interaction as specialists accompany participants to various activities and events within and around the city, advocating for and assisting them in their social and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Community Integration: Spend approximately 5 hours per day in community settings with a group of participants, facilitating and supervising daily outdoor activities. Engage participants in a variety of community activities, including volunteering, attending fun events, and fostering social relationships. Advocate for participants' needs and rights within the community, ensuring their inclusion and respect. Transportation and Mobility Support: Operate large vans or passenger mini-buses safely, including handling wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Ensure all transportation documentation is completed for each trip, including community transportation logs. Behavioral and Support Ratios: Manage groups with a typical ratio of 4:1, adjusting to 1:1 as necessary for participants with high behavioral needs. Documentation and Compliance: Complete all required daily documentation, including participant activities, progress, and any incidents, in compliance with organizational and state regulations.

Requirements: Required Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma required; Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in a day habilitation setting or working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Certifications: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; training in operating wheelchair-accessible vehicles preferred, Training in Day Hab. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage challenging behaviors, and adept at building relationships and advocating for others.

Physical and Mental Demands:

Physical ability to participate in community activities, operate large vehicles, and assist with mobility needs of participants. Mental resilience and emotional stability to handle the dynamic nature of the work and participant needs effectively.

Work Environment:

This role is based in a day habilitation center but requires extensive travel within the community.
