This role involves managing payroll processes within a Center of Excellence (COE) that supports five business units, handling approximately 27 payrolls monthly for 1,500 employees . Key Responsibilities: Manage and process end-to-end payroll, including time and attendance, earnings and deductions, gross-to-net calculations, and statutory deductions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and laws. Handle payroll across multiple schedules (weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly) and some union environments. Maintain confidentiality and the integrity of payroll data. Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Collaborate with HR teams to support payroll, benefits, recruiting, and HRIS functions. Qualifications: 5 + years experience in full cycle payroll accounting. Proven expertise in payroll management, with the ability to calculate paychecks manually if necessary. In-depth understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and taxation. Experience with payroll and HCM systems; familiarity with SuccessFactors, ADP, Paychex, and Workday is a strong plus.
