Job Description Reporting to the Lead of Scholar Talent , the Senior Specialist, Debate will be a results-driven professional looking to use strong organizational and project management skills and their rich content knowledge to support current and future content design, program evaluation, and upscaling teacher talent. Key responsibilities include: To plan, conceptualize, edit, and write a rigorous and relevant debate curriculum as part of a multi-year debate program centered on a rich debate pedagogy in the K-12 educational settings, under the direction of the Scholar Talent Lead. Includes all necessary lesson materials, lesson plans, and curricula for units of our courses that are aligned to the internal vision for dance education at Success Academy; Alignment of the curriculum to the National Standards. Ensure content is of high quality by working with schools and leaders, tracking content performance, and modifying content based on quantitative data and qualitative feedback from on-site observation. In partnership with school-based Scholar Talent Leads, observe lessons and analyze student work and data to ensure content is implemented across our network of schools with a high level of fidelity; these observations and critical study of scholar work will be used to develop the practice of our Debate teachers. In partnership with the manager, lead content and pedagogy specific teacher training sessions. Support key cross-content Scholar Talent initiatives and program needs including partnering with Operations on event and club planning and logistics, partnering with Talent Acquisition on teacher hiring, and partnering with school based leaders on Scholar Talent teacher performance management. Execute on the MS and HS after school debate programming, including; being the leader and facilitator of the HS debate program. Execute team processes and project guidelines, and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
