Position Overview: Our client is a global organization and is seeking a Senior Accountant with 5+ years’ experience to perform accounting functions including closing the books, accounting projects, divisional and subsidiary support. .
Responsibilities:
Assist the Department Manager in the preparation, review and financial reporting of monthly, quarterly and supplementary information, issued to the corporate office and Senior Management. Prepare journal entries and accruals during the month-end close process to include a reconciliation of the inter-company activity. Analyze G/L transactions for accuracy in order to ensure all phases of the general ledger and financial statements are accurately presented.. Assist with the preparation of the detailed monthly variance analysis as compared to actual. Assist with the preparation of the inventory reserve calculation as well as inventory management reporting. Assist and prepare schedules on request for periodic internal audits. Assist with other Ad hoc reporting as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting A minimum of 5 years related accounting work experience to include prior analytical work in an Accounting environment. Experience in a manufacturing/cost accounting environment a strong plus. Must have intermediate/advance Excel skill set. Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle E-Business a strong plus. Strong analytical skills are a must. Self-motivated individual and the ability to work independently. Strong analytical skills are a must. Strong attention to detail is a must.
Compensation:
$35 - $40 per hour
