Job Description Job Description Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Project Manager to support a long term Government project. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, proven project management skills and experience in government contracts. This role involves overseeing project planning and execution, ensuring compliance with government regulations and CMMI Level 3 processes, and effectively communicating with stakeholders. Solid technical acumen combined with strong interpersonal skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences is required.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Lead and manage the technical project team throughout the software modernization effort, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results. Implement and maintain Scrum-based Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and CMMI Level 3 processes. Knowledge or familiarity with of Atlassian Suite and utilize JIRA for project tracking, resource allocation, and reporting. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including government representatives, providing regular updates and managing expectations. Collaborate with technical leads to develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with government regulations and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate communication between technical team members and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts as needed. Contribute to proposal writing and identify opportunities for organic growth within the project scope. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the project, recommending innovations when appropriate. Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, or related field. 10+ years of project management experience. 5+ years of experience managing government contracts or projects 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum 2+ years of experience with JIRA and other project management tools Knowledge of Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Required Certifications: PMI Project Management Professional
Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
