Amentum is seeking an Electrical Foreperson to join our operations & maintenance team in Columbus, Ohio. The Electrical Foreperson is responsible for the prioritization of work based on the needs of the client and for the on-time completion of all work, as well as all documentation involved. Provides and/or schedules needed training and cross-training for multi-functional employees. Implements all safety rules and guidelines for all Amentum employees. This position is responsible for performing at the subject matter expert level with respect to estimating, planning, and performing preventative maintenance, responding to work orders, troubleshooting, installation, and documenting the electrical and control needs of facility switch gear, breaker panels, lighting, and process equipment in an industrial maintenance environment. This position is directly responsible for maintaining and assisting site engineering teams to meet site electrical needs. Responsibilities: Maintain current and future facility electrical systems. Manage reactive/corrective maintenance as it is reported and distribute to available technicians. Lead safety program for the worksite and maintain reporting associated with safety activities. Audit work performance for safety actions and quality of work, and provide coaching as needed. Review new job requests to differentiate between in-scope and non-scope work and address accordingly. Maintain effective performance of individual employees and the worksite team. Review and approve time reporting. Compile, maintain, and present various reports to Amentum management and client teams. Identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. Procure parts from crib systems, OEM, or authorized vendors. Identify and document cost savings. Utilize strong electrical skills to complete assignments. Create and modify site operations procedures for equipment and recommend facilities reliability improvements. Provide instruction, mentorship, and training to less skilled technicians as needed. Perform preventive maintenance on process/production equipment as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Respond and provide service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards. Recommend activities to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems. Understand company policies and enforce safety regulations. JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential electrical work, with a focus on installing and troubleshooting electrical systems in new single-family homes, multi-family projects, and light commercial. Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in new construction projects. Perform electrical rough-ins and trim-outs in accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and company standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical plans to determine the layout and placement of wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures. Collaborate with contractors, builders, and project managers to coordinate electrical work and ensure timely completion of projects. Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify and resolve issues or malfunctions in a timely manner. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the job site. Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and hours worked on each project. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to provide updates, discuss project requirements, and address any concerns or questions. #ZR

Qualifications

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience. Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification. Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential electrical work, preferably in new construction. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical plans. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
