This position reports to the Director of Lab Operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Complete specimen preparation, processing, data entry and clerical duties while maintaining specimen integrity and identification. Prepare and analyze samples using an LCMS/MS. Handle samples in accordance with safety and other requirements to ensure sample integrity and safety of the personnel. Perform moderate and high complexity toxicology and chemistry testing. Program and process samples in a high complexity laboratory according to policy and procedures. Accurately complete maintenance, sample processing and environment logs and checklists. Maintain and demonstrate the technical expertise necessary in the laboratory Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot instrument performance and display an understanding of quality control requirements related to test analysis. Keep accurate records, including preparation, processing, and reporting of preliminary and final results. Utilize the laboratory information system (LIS), electronic medical record (EMR) and other software systems as needed. Maintain supply inventory and place orders as needed with supervisor. May provide support in areas of collections, lab billing and quality control. Maintain knowledge and assists the organization in complying with all regulatory agencies including COLA, OSHA, and HIPAA. Complete required continuing education to remain current on licensure and regulatory requirements Always maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory, Medical Technology, Biology or Chemical science Meet regulatory and CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Med Lab Science or biological science degree, with MT/MLS certification Knowledge of Electronic Health Records Systems
